SADAQAH

What Is Sadaqah?

Sadaqah is a voluntary act of charity and has great importance in Islam. It protects you from the unforeseen and showers blessings on you while helping the needy.

It is performed in many ways, most of which are basically easing someone else’s struggle such as paying the debts of poor people, providing for the needs of low-income families, helping to rescue an orphan from child labor.

“Every act of goodness is charity.”

Sahih Muslim, Hadith 496

Why Perform Sadaqah?

It Secures Your Place In Jannah

Because when we gain Allah’s love and mercy, we’re rewarded with an eternity in Jannah by His side.

Prevents Calamity

The power of Sadaqah is that it protects you from difficulty, trials and hardship.

“Give Sadaqah without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity.”

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (At-Tirimidhi)

Ensures The Almighty’s Protection & Provision

The Prophet ﷺ told us:

“Whoever relieves a believer’s distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from the difficulties of the Hereafter…”
